The Investment Council under the Government of Khabarovsk Krai has approved the use of a concession agreement mechanism for the implementation of the «Park of Peoples’ Friendship» project on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island

The Investment Council under the Government of Khabarovsk Krai has approved the use of a concession agreement mechanism for the implementation of the «Park of Peoples’ Friendship» project as part of the comprehensive development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island.

The meeting was chaired by Sergey Abramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Khabarovsk Krai. Moving forward, the relevant stakeholders will proceed to discuss the terms of the concession agreement, the project’s financial and economic parameters, and its architectural concept.

«This year, the Investment Council will frequently review and refine projects directly linked to or focused on the development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island. The time has come,» noted Sergey Abramov.

The Park of Friendship of Peoples will be the first facility encountered by tourists from the People’s Republic of China and other Russian regions on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island. There, visitors will be able to explore landmark events in the history and culture of Russia and Khabarovsk Krai, as well as the customs and traditions of the peoples residing in the country.

The concept of comprehensive development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, approved by both the Russian and Chinese sides, provides for the establishment of an international cross-border tourism cooperation zone, along with the development of transboundary industrial, scientific, and educational collaboration.

FINIST IB has been re-accredited as a partner – consultant of the Bank PSB for the provision of advisory services in the field of independent financial and economic analysis and risk assessment, within the structuring and support of projects implemented on the principles of public–private partnership (PPP) in accordance with Federal Law No. 224-FZ “On Public–Private Partnership, Municipal–Private Partnership in the Russian Federation and on Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” and Federal Law No. 115-FZ “On Concession Agreements.”

 

The partners will continue their cooperation on current and prospective investment projects to be implemented under PPP principles. The accreditation has been confirmed for a period of two years.
